Default Trying for GT3 Touring but considering the R8 RWS

i know these are two vastly different cars, other than price, although the R8 is a bit cheaper. I’ve been bugging my dealer about a GT3 Touring and thus far I’ve not made the cut. Meanwhile I discovered this thing and it looks pretty fun. I have a 991 Turbo now and want something a tad more exciting, thus the GT3 or something else. Anyone here have both and could tell me if I’m nuts to consider the RWS or if it’s a pretty good buy? One of my main concerns is my steep driveway, but the R8 seems better for that than the GT3, for which I’d have to have the axel lift.

GT3 and an R8 very different.

There are some .2 GT3s out there with a Wingey

I don't know a single person who's bought an RWS and hasn't proceeded to immediately sell it. On paper, the value proposition looks strong, but from what I gather they are not terribly exciting cars to drive.

You want exciting? My vote is for a Scuderia. That will absolutely be my second toy.

I have a friend who sold his 991.2 GT3 this summer and bought a RWS. He is now selling it and has another allocation for a GT3 that is coming. His wife liked the car though.....

For some reason R8’s are a snooze fest for me. Probably a lot of outright speed but not engaging and you already have a 991 turbo for that.

I’d go manual GT3 if possible or Ferrari.

I'm in a similar boat, why do the r8s seem so pedestrian? Too many nannies or tuned more for a grand touring feel?

You used the word cheaper.
Get the Ferrari you're not considering, it will make you cheap in other aspects of your life while providing a more exciting driving experience, provided it's one of those last 3 pedal na cars.
You can get the driveway redone.
If you don't go with my advice just keep your turbo.
All else seemed superfluous.

I had a 2017 R8 v10 plus, as well .1 GT3 and .1 GT3RS
they are different cars , but I can tell you R8 is a fantastic car, I am not really sure why it does not get a lot of love on RL
I have a .2 GR3RS coming in a couple of weeks and this is why I sold R8
never driven the RWS version
R8 is not as emotional as GT cars , but I can tell you it ticked a lot of boxes for me . It handles very well , power and sound are excellent, build quality is excellent
one thing I did not like, is it gets a lot of attention ,

Buy a Ferrari if you want excitement. I picked up a 458 six months ago and couldn't be happier with it. The looks, sound and feel are on another level. A clean example shouldn't be that much more than a new R8.

458's outside of a 59 mile radius from a service location = more potential headaches than a I'd ever put up with

‘good video and it clearly shows the various attractions of each car. The GT3 is of course more raw and spine tingling, and the R8 I would say a tad more sophisticated in a fun way. My wife hated my GT3 RS, and I got a 458 spider because I think everyone that’s a car freak should owe a Ferrari once which she loves. (I can see why the R8 checks boxes its fast and some luxury) My GT3 RS just hit JAX, and I think there’re the best of both worlds which I think the R8 and GT3 are polar opposites but fun in their own ways. If I had to choose between the two I would go GT3 because the rawness is just a game changer, but owning both would be fun kinda like pairing with a 458/88.
