Default 991.1 vs 991.2 GT3 RS Wheels

Other than the GT3RS stamping on the 991.2 RS wheels, are they basically the same as 991.1 RS wheels? Thanks in advance.

I’ve read the .2 wheels are 100g lighter. Also the outer edge on the .2 is smooth while the .1 is grooved.

Dumb question here...

If we are talking about 100 grams....Is there a difference in weight on the color of the wheels? Like are the black ones like the silver then painted...or are they all painted the same amount? Or maybe the black is heavier because it just looks like more paint to me or they would have to use more? 100 grams is only 4 ounces of paint....so this isnt THAT DUMB as it could for sure move the needle a lot

I dont know....just saying really wish I could hear Andreas Preuninger's answer here

The Silver ones are painted too. Pretty sure the black and silver are painted the same amount (black paint is not applied over silver paint) - should weigh the same.

Yes but black paint attracts more photons which do have a weight. The differential effect is more pronounced on sunny tracks like in California, any consideration to keeping a spare silver set of wheels for sunny days, whether track or Starbucks.

But the silver paint is metallic! The silver paint must weigh a ton more than the black paint even at full photon capacity
