I hope this "retire from racing" idea does not last long. It's always great to hang out with you and your wife at track events.
Seller is the type of person you want to buy from. Keeps everything in immaculate condition mechanically and cosmetically. Can't get much better than Racers Edge for the engine rebuild and Behe for dyno tuning.

What would it take for 968 to be competitive with the 911s in E class? Seems like the 968 SP3s are competitive with the E class 911s, but the E class 968 wt for E class is too much. The 968 SP3 and 911 E class seem to run run similar lap times.

Bump for strong car and great owner!
Dave: I suspect Karl Poeltl of Racers Edge could give you some good perspective on your question.
Would be interesting to have some one like Peter Krause analyze 911 & 968 data from the the top drivers in E and SP3 to provide some insight. Would be good to have additional info about each data set like tires/heat cycles, current engine power vs. max for fresh engine, shocks and alignment optimized, brake pads, etc.
Wondering if you could do something with 968 wheel / tire sizes comparable to what the 911 drivers did with the smaller overall diameter 15" set-up to improve acceleration.
Lastly, if I raced a 968, 944 or 924 I would want to run with the SP group as they often get their own run group and start vs. dealing with slow drivers in higher Hp cars (G,H,I,J).
And with this car you should definitely be near the top in either E or SP3.

944 Cup is one of the best series within PCA Club racing and Dave does an awesome job lining up sponsors, contingencies, prizes social events, etc.
