Default My first 996 Turbo

sorry for the poor pics will take better ones later.

Sorry think I originally posted in the wrong place. Just a note to say hello all. I was referred to this site and man is there a wealth of info here. Bought my first Porsche a month ago from a dealership. I bought It sight on seen over the internet, as I have always wanted a Porsche, and one with red interior. Unfortunately it had some issues, which if I had taken my butt down there and checked it out, I would have found and had them fix prior to purchase. Any event I did tell them I was getting it checked out, which I did and found a few of the common items that need attention. Of course after a heated discussion with the dealership about the wheel bearings, turbo seal leak, transmission gasket leak, rear wing hydraulic problem, sunroof liner, broken roof clips, broken combination switch, broken seat motor and bad motor mounts. The wheel bearing was so bad it almost broke in half when the wheel was removed. Any event the dealership was told fix this stuff or take the car back, I should have my parts this week and I will be a lot happier with the vehicle (totally my fault for buying sight on seen and lesson learned).

Wow, lots of deferred maintenance. Best of luck, keep us posted on results.

Congratulations and best of luck on getting your new car sorted out. The good news is that once you get those items taken care of, these are remarkably reliable vehicles.
