Randy Pobst- ZR1 v 2RS
After reading, I had to scroll back up to see who wrote it.

Figures. The one guy who has more experience, skill and can come across better than the brits Harris, Bovington, Clarkson and, Catchpole.
Dan (would like to have a beer with Randy someday)

Interesting comments on ACR and Cups.
If latest 2RS is that good, Manthey version must be sublime.
Question is will he feel the same about latest 3RS and how much is down to latest R spec rubber, as they all run essentially same suspension save for tweaking of shock and spring rates?
Dig the Bovington dig.

"Part of the value in the GT2 RS comes from sophisticated systems like PASM, rear-wheel steering, dynamic engine mounts, Porsche Torque Vectoring, and Porsche Stability Management. Yet it's more than that. These aids have been tuned with great finesse. The latest GT3 RS has the same systems, yet it's nervous on corner entry. (Shall we blame the karters again?) That car was a disappointment to me; although nearly every component was made more track-oriented from the GT3, the balance was lost."

It doesn't appear as if he feels the same about the 3RS:

Saw Randy at Rennsport. What a super nice guy! He spent at least 40 min showing my 10 year old son videos and explaining different cars he'd driven.
I've always liked him as a driver, but just a wonderful human being. As nice as they come.

I remember Randy saying the back of the .1 3RS is twitchy, not sure if he's referring to the .1 or .2. Other pros have reported the back of the 2RS being twitchy. Not sure why we have such inconsistent findings.
BTW, some of those British journalists have legit racing experience, though they tend to pose as regular guys.

He said "The latest GT3 RS has the same systems, yet it's nervous on corner entry", so it appears as if he's referring to the 991.2 3RS. While it may not have been an official or publicized review, he may have had to opportunity to take the 3RS out for a run, given the time it's been available.

Randy was vocal about the gen 1 RS stability under braking and nervous handling in general. He wasn't alone. No such comments that I've seen about the .2 from him or others. Pretty clear what Randy is referring to.

It's hard to understand why the 2rs seems to get such different reviews from different people. Footsoldier here who has upgraded his 2rs to the Manthey KWs definitely did state before he thought the 3rs was the better balanced car (and by quite a bit it seems) and he definitely can drive....
