Default When will the 992 be on the configurator?

I read that it is a 2019 model and then I read that it is a 2020 model so which is it and when can we expect to see it on the configurator?

Currently at my local dealer, there are several 2019 991.2s, so the 992 will be 2020 model.

Guys. There cannot be a 2020 model year car in 2018. Every time Porsche starts assembling new model year cars in autumn. Cars produced after 2018 summer break are 2019 MY.
There was never something like f.e. 2000 MY in 1998. I can only see this kind of reasoning in US. Please try to explain this because its just funny.

Just passing along info from my dealer. If they're incorrect, it happens:-)

Not necessarily. There are both 2012 997 and 991's.

Exactly, and in 1989 both 911 and 964, and in 1994 both 964 and 993 (RoW), and in 1998 both 993 and 996 (RoW), and in 2005 both 996 and 997...

It is by design that there is overlap on every new generation, so I expect in 2019 both 991 and 992 (maybe RoW only, but they will exist)...

I doubt they'd do another half year .5 after seeing all the confusion it caused for 997.2 (2012) and 991.1 (2012.5). But then again, it's Porsche. Nothing surprises me.

It will be on the configurator the day of or day after the official reveal. The official reveal date is a bit harder to pin down. Rumors range from October to early next year.

Considering the lack of camouflage on the test cars, my guess is the reveal can't be more than a couple of weeks away.
