Thickest Titanium brake pad insulators?
Hi,
Who makes the thickest ones?
I'm looking to add them after the first track day when the pads are worn some.
TIA

Already have them, and fresh Motul fluid, and DTC-30 pads (have DtC-60 on order)
Boiled the fluid when the DTC-30's got real thin, at Laguna. Times got into the 1:47's, with NT-01 tires. So I had to lift when cresting at turn 1.

I tried Ti shims from Hard Brakes. Two thicknesses were available but I don't remember how thick. I tried the thinner of the two and did not notice any improvement. Olsen Motorsports ducts work..

Best recipe for 987 brake cooling:
1. Olsen ducts
2. Gt3 ducts
3. Don't run brake pads below 50% (heat sink)
4. Cut front liner vents and replace with large hole mesh

No hoses included.
The main point is to flow more air through the wheel liner (from the rad) to feed the 'buckets' for the Olsen ducts.
You can add hoses but in my experience if you do all four things plus good quality brake fluid you will be fine.
Running your pads thin is a setup for overheating.

In my 987.1 the front liner vents only had about 1/2 of the louvers opened. I opened them but did not go to the removal and mesh replacement although that has to flow more air.
