Default 18” track tire sizes

Hey everyone I wanted to post this question out. I have a 997.1 TT and purchased some 18” wheels for the track. I was looking at doing 245/40 and 305/35 on the rear. Next debate is nt01’s or r888r tires but wanted to double check the size

Too new to the 911 game to give advice on sizes, but for tires I can help. I’m assuming this is for DE? How much experience do you have? 888’s should last a bit longer then nt01’s, both are great, nt01’s have more grip, but that may not be a good thing if you’re newer to DE.

I just installed a set of 335/30/18 NT01s on my 997 c4s (RWD conversion.) When the fronts wear out (currently running 255/40), Ill go to a 265/35/18 (NT05 only) or 275/35/18 (NT01.) The 265 keeps the overall front to back ratio closer to stock.
These are on my daily driver

245/305 Nitto NT01’s are the way to go. Have them on my car for DE’s. Great setup. I also run 18’s 9” front 12” rear. You will want to run them at 32 F 34R HOT so first run you are going ou 23/24 psi cold.

thanks for the feedback I am new to DE’s so want to make sure I don’t go way overboard, but i figured this was a good start for tires.

You will find that most street tires will get torn up very quickly with DE use. The street tires provide good feedback and training when you start out doing DE’s. but get expensive. As you get more seat time having a dedicated set of wheels/tires is a good choice. My personal opinion is the Nitto is a great tire and preferred over the R888 at least here in the west, very consistent and you can run them to the cords.
