Boost leaks fixed now P1120 code
So I found the majority of my boost leaks, it turned out to be the gasket behind the throttle body. I replaced it and put everything back together and pressurize the system. there is one more small slow slow leak, but for now it's good enough, I need to drive my car!
So any way I put it all back together and it didn't idle well at all, put the Durametrics on and it reported codes P1120 and P1138. Basically the throttle body isn't reporting the right values.
I went in and cleared the codes but they come back immediately. I verified that all the electrical connections look right. I saw the pelican parts tech article on the throttle body cleaning. And noticed that I don't hear any self adjustment going on after I turn the key on and let the system sit for a while.
Next step is to go back in and take it all apart again. Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them. Thanks

Well pulled everything apart again. I don't know why this throttle body is sending all these codes. I can't seem to find a web page on what the resistant values should be on the different pins... Grrrr. So I called auto atlanta and ordered a replacement. Luckily this part number 986 605 115 01 is the same as the boxster so I was able to get it for $345 instead of the $1200 that porsche wants for it new. Yes I could have gone used, but all the used ones that I saw seemed to have lived a pretty rough life.

I must have zapped the internal components somehow or dropped it or something...
very very strange, everything was working fine besides the boost leak I decided to tackle

I found out that one of the pins in the connector got squashed. When I tried to bend it back the pin broke off. (nice move). So I have a used unit on order from a dismantler in Tampa Fl. Brand new units are around $680. ugh.
