Do you wave at other 911 drivers?
Even though I have only owned my C4S for a month, I’m already so attach it and loving it!
And I feel other fellow 911 drivers shares the same passion like me, after all, 911 is the most
aspirational purchased car model.
So naturally, when I see another 911 drivers on the road, I would drive up to them, and give them a
wave or thumb up, but so far, out of the 6 911 (various models, 996, 991.2, 997 Turbo etc) only the
old gentleman in the 996 nodded his head when he saw me. A little depressing, I thought more of
them would do the same as me.
so what would you do when youbsee/line up with another 911?

I give a wave when I see any P car except Macans, Cayennes and Panameras. I rarely get a wave back from a Turbo, the Boxster/Cayman crowd waves enthusiastically, and the rest of the 911 guys come back subdued if at all. At least, that’s been my experience. I typically get a good wave or thumbs from Corvette guys.

Always............. and they do it back.....except we also do the headlight flash in addition to the wave where I live. I think that may be region specific?
It's not limited to 911s. All Porsche sports car drivers do it where I live. (not Cayennes, Macans, or Panameras)

Burning Brakes
I always wave to 911s, Boxters, Caymans. and vintage Porches (944, 928 etc). For Cayennes, Macans, and Panameras I look to see if they even notice my car, then I usually wave if we make eye contact.
It might be somewhat regional. Where I live in Colorado, Porsches are a rare sight, so I think it's a bigger deal to see another P-car. I'm sure in some big cities with ton's of 911's you might get a different response.

Flash Lights Upon Meeting Any Porsche
If a Porsche (any model) is approaching our Porsche in the opposing lane on the open road, we flash our headlights. Going in the same direction, we wave and also flash our headlights if appropriate for our relative position on the open road. If we are in a Metro or city area, we just wave, as a headlight flash can be misread by drivers in other marquees.
Long time owners/drivers of both air cooled and water cooled Porsches.

I wave if I’m not busy avoiding another idiot staring at their phone.

Always wave but there are not many encounters where I live.

I always do, at least a nod, but acknowledgement around the NY metro area is disappointingly minimal - It feels like poser non-enthusiast owners outnumber the nice guys
