Default Panamera 971 Euro spring loaded cup holder

Hello all,

For those in the US, the euro style spring loaded cup holders are not available on the configurator. However, SunCoast now carries the parts.

Wondering if anyone has retrofitted these yet and also from our Euro friends how well they work/look after living with them for sometime now.

Thanks in advance!!

They are an option in Canada. I would recommend you get them.

I just ordered these from SunCoast but, I am told, they do not come with installation instructions. Does anyone out there know how they are installed?

I ordered them yesterday. The Suncoast salesperson said that if they aren't a self-install item, his notes would say so. Since there was no such note, he thought they should be easy to pop in. However ... I was also told by a Porsche salesperson that the whole center console needs to come out and it's a 4 hour job through Porsche service...

Wow!! $1000 for cup holder covers??? They do look great and I wish we could have ordered them but not for $1000. When I spec'd my car last April, they were offered on the European configurator as a no cost option but not available at all on the US configurator. To pay that much after the fact just for aesthetics and for something that over time will quite likely break doesn't seem like something I want to do. Look forward to hearing if you are in fact able to install them yourself??? Might consider it for $200.

Here is the link:

I guess it might be better described as a retractable cup holder with decorative lid.

I agree with Saratoga as far as long term wear which is why I asked the question to the folks around the planet that might
have them in use and would they do it again.

I was fortunate to see one in the flesh and they seem very well designed.
I am no where near technical enough to install myself.
I might consider having it done based on responses. As for the labor $$$, I have not checked yet.

Thanks!!

I will wait for one of you fine folks to buy these and let us know how bad is the installation.

So, I wonder if this does this does anything about the "grabbiness" of the US spec cup holders? Mine, at least, will grab the cup or can and you almost have to enter into a tug of war to get it out! Very dangerous on the road, especially with the awkward position of the cup holders.

Hi, Any feedback on whether we can install this ourselves? Or it needs a trip to the dealership...
Thank you!

I just received this part after I ordered it from Suncoast. I will take photos of it and see how it mounts within the space. 4 hours seems a long time to get this to fit. If it does not look promising I will be returning. Suncoast states on the parts description when Porsche dealer is required, so this is misleading.

The salesperson said 4 hours to install, but when I talked to the service manager he said "a couple hours".
