Default Front Suspension and Brakes

Starting to put her back together.
Before

Sandblasted and ready for powder coating.

First of many parts came this week.

Parts back from powder coating.

Looks Awesome!
Where did you get those mounts for the 'A' arms?
My old ones look very tatty.

Yeah, they are. After it was all assembled holding the A arm level and letting go, it drops all the way down. No resistance at all. I can't wait to try them out.

I have Elephant Racing Poly Bronze on mine front and rear but I am yet to test them on the road, but I have heard good things.

I thought the bushing surfaces on the A-arms are supposed to be left bare and not painted or powder coated? Did you have any trouble getting the bushings on?

Hey Mark,

You are correct about that, but these are taped still. I haven't removed the tape yet.

Ah, sorry about that. I couldn't tell. The parts look beautiful. Too bad they have to get dirty.

They do look great! Looking forward to reading about the outcome of the new parts. And, by the way, keeping these new parts clean seems to be perfect justification to get a lift if one is not already in your garage...

Suspension and brakes are finished. Now on to rebuilding my engine. Hopefully back on the road by this summer.

I will, but it's not going to be that interesting to you. My car is a 912E with a T4 engine in it. Sorry.
