Default Car Insurance

My new Turbo S will be arriving anytime soon and I am looking for car insurance. I had Grundy for my Ferrari 458 Speciale but felt they were very expensive. I searched the treads but could not find much. Has anyone any suggestions?

Thanks
Marco

Are you solely focused on price? Or are you looking for competitive insurance from a company that caters to high net worth individuals (HNW)? Just like many things in life, you get what you pay for. I know people don't want to spend too much on insurance, however not all contracts are the same.

FYI - I use PURE and I am in the insurance business. They are newer to the HNW insurance market and provide competitive pricing with the coverage that I look for.

PS - not a solicitation.

Seems a lot of people are going to Geico. Are you looking for guaranteed value coverage or just a standard policy? My guaranteed value policy is through Hagerty but I'm paying an arm and a leg for it though. My regular Allstate underwriters won't insure my 991.2 TTS for some reason. 43 yo male with clean record and live in a good neighborhood but still for some reason Allstate thinks that the car is too risky to insure.

Thanks folks.

No I am not looking at Geico. They are really bad. I very well know you get what you pay for, but Grundy was much like Ferrari, great product but not a good value. I heard a lot of good things about Hagerty.
Erie is weird. I have four cars and any car over two I wanted to insure through Erie I got punished for. Rates increase exponentially. Weird company and pratices. One would expect a volume discount instead of a volume punishment.
I will look at Pure as well. Received some marketing brochures from them.

Thanks again
Marco

Allstate covers all 8 of my cars, including my 991.2 TTS and M4 GTS with no problem. I only want insurance for worst case situations.

I have Geico, so far they seem ok. You never know till you have an accident. Had Liberty Mutual for 20 years,
not impressed. I talked to a couple of local body shops and who was easier to deal with and they said Geico.
And they Geico will use Porsche parts, not aftermarket. Geico was a lot cheaper than Liberty Mutual.

My daughter’s VW Beetle is insured through Geico and when a falling branch hit the hood they insisted on replacing it with a 3rd party hood. I had to pay the difference to have the bodyshop use OEM parts. My experience with them is very poor. My friend had the same fight with Geico when he had a repair on his BMW 535.

All contracts are not the same. You would have to compare apples to apples and being in the same state and two counties next to each other could yield very different results, It is difficult to talk insurance unless you can compare policies to each other thoroughly.

very true

insurance rates depend on credit scores, driving records, age of drivers, number of cars insured, state and county rates, auto details tied to the VIN
