Finally configuring GT3T. Gulf Blue vs. Signal Yellow?
Hi guys,
Finally got a call from SA to put in build for GT3T and seems like I can do PTS slot (Can anyone do PTS for GT3T? I asked for one and he said I can do it)
My question is, I am debating b/t Gulf Blue and Signal Yellow
I prefer Signal Yellow but I don't want to spend extra 9k for PCCB whose yellow caliper will complete the look and Signal Yellow.
I like Gulf Blue as well and plan to put gulf orange decal over it (Not the best example but you get the point). I think gulf blue will look ok with red caliper.
What do you guys think? Decisions, decisions, decisions...

@OP if you really want signal yellow but afraid red caliper will clash or PCCB will also clash then you can always keep standard brakes and paint then or get them dipped
You can do them in signal yellow and write PORSCHE in black or even do them in black and wrote PORSCHE in signal yellow
Just my 2 cents in case the red clashes in your eyes when it arrives to you

Subject near and dear to my heart. Studied both colors for months. Winner either way. My only advice would be, if you're going Gulf Blue... go with Satin Aluminum wheels, standard Touring trim and non-black headlights. Just my two cents to keep it classy after looking at every Gulf Blue picture on the Internet, and also considering Touring build. Black is always nice of course, but too sharp a contrast with Gulf Blue for Touring in particular.
Either way, go all-in but decide up front on your theme... Elegant or mean race-car. Can't wait to see it either way, and best of luck!
*Edit - LOL love that picture of the Gulf Blue RS half in the water. Classic color. Classic photo that will live in infamy. Imagine dropping your car off to have work done (was it PPF or tint I believe), and learning what happened? I’m worried about people sitting in my car, or worse driving it when I leave it somewhere.

Sure is... first world problem I guess.
I've been thinking of giong std touring trim but since GB is such a light color, I thought black window trim would look better than chrome.

This picture of a Gulf Blue 911R will haunt my brain forever...
While I would never do the top stripes on a non-911R, similar side stripes would be beautiful. Requires even a touch of Gulf Orange though.

I don't think Gulf looks good on this car, too soft, fluffy. Popular to consider because it's historic, but if Porsche were to launch this color today I bet it would get more jeers than cheers. Signal looks great. Anything looks good on a 917.
