Unhappy Ugh! 2018 27 mile 991GTS oil leak

Drove new 2018 991 GTS from dealer to my garage and parked it a week ago waiting for weather to improve. Dropped it off this morning for PPF install and went back home to find a small puddle of fluid where car was parked on driver side about midway between front an d rear wheels.
Type of fluid mystifies me. It’s not coolant as it’s thicker and greasy. Color is light yellow and consistency of a straight 40w oil but being brand new there is no darkening. Not sure what lines run front to back on drivers side that are not coolant. Oil seems most probable but what does PDK fluid look like and are there any oil lines on that side of the car.
of course I called dealership and they said “bring it in” but offered no possible explanation.
Anyone run into this or have any thoughts?

Seems pretty far forward to be engine. Oil lines are on the passanger side. Confirm the yelllow oil fill cap is tight.

Do you have pictures? I would not drive this car, the dealer should pick it up with his truck.

If it is a brand new,.....maybe it is factory sprayed on cosmoline that tends to burn off and drip every now and then on a new car....

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cosmoline

Has it left any other puddles of the stuff? How big is the puddle? Take a picture and post. Drive it a bit and see if it does the same at each resting spot,...more, less, etc....

Let the dealer bring it in and assess the issue, please report back afterwards.

Or let the educated guessing begin ...

How far was the trip from the dealer? It's possible it could be brake fluid from overfilled reservoir... could be clutch fluid or fluid from PDK (I think it's a pentosin oil not regular gear oil so probably doesn't have that gear oil funk smell. Not coolant and probably not motor oil.

Likely nothing. But I'd have someone put it on a lift and look at it. Peace of mind.

Call the 1-800 number and get Porsche to deal with it. I had a coolant error/do not drive message on mine. I was 99.9% sure it was erroneous. My friend who is a service manager confirmed that and said drive it in. I didnt want the risk, so called Porsche and had them collect it. Faulty sensor it was, but why take a chance?

I’d check the engine oil level and the brake fluid level before driving the car to the dealer. Obviously if either is low don’t go.

If his oil level was low, he'd have either the yellow (ok to drive on) warning, or the red (can't drive on) warning.

On a 991.2--or 991.1 for that matter--I don't think there are any oil lines that go from the engine to the front of the car. The oil is cooled by an oil/water heat exchanger in the engine compartment.

So unless the oil is leaking in back and migrating along a seam on the floorpan before dropping onto the pavement, it isn't oil.
