Question on 17" twist rims
My 968 currently has the 16" Cup 1's and I really want to move to 17" rims when I take it out in the spring. After looking at the 968 just listed on BAT, I'm going to find a set of "twists" for it.
The problem is I don't know which offset to look for in these rims. Could you give me some guidance? Is the best fitment from a Boxter?

This will allow you to match the available Turbo twist to the proper offsets for a 17" 968 which are 7.5 et 65 front and 9 et 55 rear. The 63 offset shown for the 7.5 Cup 2 is incorrect. It is also 65.
I have a couple sets of T twists and I don't need to keep both of them. One set is replica 7.5 and 9 and the other is OE but 7 and 8.5 (IIRC). Shout if you have any interest.

The good news about the twists is that they are cheap cheap cheap.
You should be able to pick up a decent set for $600, maybe even cheaper.
Compare that to $800 for a set of Cup2s and over $1500 for Cup1s.

Just worth noting, the twist that are on the BaT car are only available in replicas in 17". Some people really care about this, others don't consider it to be a big deal. The replica 17s are a good bit heavier than the OEM 17s, and from my experience the replica wheels are a bit softer as well. YMMV.
If you want OEM 17" twists there are a couple options, my favorite are the 986S twists, they are only 7s and 8.5s, but they will work the 225/255 tire sizes.

Probably a dumb question, but how can you tell a replica twist from an OEM? I'm running a set of 17 x 9's on all four corners on my track car (I have 2.25" i.d. coilovers, and -3.2 degrees of camber in front, which gives me 19 mm of clearance between the inside of the wheel and the spring) that I will have for sale in the next few months.

Paul, those are not the same wheels as the BaT car. The wheels you have pictured there are 996 C2 twists, where the BaT has replica Turbo Twists (sometimes called Cup 3s because that is how they were labeled on Tire Rack when they sold replicas).
These are the Turbo Twists, subtle but significant difference:

I have zero affiliation with these wheels, but if they were local to be in Charlotte I would have purchased them already.

DL, I also don't agree with everything posted regarding your question. I agree that there are different versions of the Turbo Twist and Twist "appearing" wheels and that includes OEs that are 17". The link I posted outlines the diameters, widths and ETs and while the pics are small, you can see some difference in appearance. The width choices in 17" are 7, 8.5 and 9.

Thats my 968 on BAT and those wheels looks perfect on it, at first before seeing in person i told original owner i was gonna look for cups, but once the car arrived and saw these wheels on it , there is no way i'd change them or recommend changing. I think the offset you will find for sale is what 99% of them are...i'll try to see if i can find offset off mine!
