Default Snap or pop on moderate throttle blip

Just took delivery of 991.2 manual gt3 and noticed a fairly pronounced single snap or pop sound when gently to moderately stabbing the throttle (i.e. when rev matching or even at idle). I'm thinking intake is calling for a rush of air or a flapper bottoming out maybe? My 981 cayman s does same thing. Anyone else experiencing this?

And 4000 rpm for 2000 miles...that will be hard.

Default Snap or pop on throttle blip

I have the same clunk- metal induction intake valve snapping open according to dealer- on throttle blip from idle.
Occurs on revmatching downshifts as well.
My GT3 991.2 is very new, just has 400 miles on it, and I hope I can learn to accept that clunk, because it sure annoys me!

I hear this too, anytime I blip on downshifts. Have you figured out what it is, and is it normal?

I have the same thing. It’s annoying enough to turn off my Sport button so I don’t hear it on downshifts too. My friends GT3.2 mt does it as well but to a much lesser degree. Hopefully enough people will complain about it that they will come up with a fix. I have it on iPhone video but I don’t know how to post it here.

I would like to hear what you all are conveying. I do not hear this but maybe it is there but obviously it does not bother me. Maybe coming from a GT4, w/ rev matching, had the same sound so maybe that is why not noticing

It's valves contacting cylinders, engine is toast, sell car to me immediately.

I never heard this on my GT4. It happen regardless of whether sport is on or off - a quick blip while downshifting seems to trigger it, whether you're doing it with your feet or letting the computer do it for you. It almost sounds like a quick induction, or "whooshing" suction sound. It's very quick so it can sound like a tap or pop. I'll see if I can capture some audio/video as well.

Here is the video of the induction noise. It sounds louder inside. I haven't taken it to the dealer yet to see if they can fix it.

Sounds normal to me. It's the throttle body opening and sucking in air under vacuum. The 991.2 GT3 I drove did this. And the 991.1 GT3RS did this. And like every other performance car I've driven has done this. I think it sounds great and makes the driving experience more fun.
