Cool! Ive looked at those a couple of times. Let us know what you think of them. Did you happen to have the R888s before? Oh and pretty beast mode front size.

No for the old r888. They had really bad reviews for the noise aspect.
Toyo improved the new R888R in all aspects so i decided to try them.

Get ready to replace them pretty quickly, utog of 100 they will not last to long but are probably full of grip

i ran the older iteration of them a few rear sets ago, and couldn't stand the growl on a street car. they are 'loud" beyond words. i wouldn't get the "old" r888's again, that's for sure. but at 275$ a copy in 315/30, that's gotta be the cheapest option available, so i'm interested to hear a driver's report on the "newer" ones. i am also am about to put on my late summer/fall set of fookin falken gruven 651k's on the rear, w new pss in front.

yeah the r888, was the fastest "wearing" tire, i have ever run.

I love the Falkens. Pricey but the cost is trivial cause it's a 200 treadwear. They do tram line bad and get noisy when worn but still a great tire.

nice, interested to see some review on the new R's
been through a few sets of the RT615K+ so far and like them a bunch-just ordered another set...but considered the R888R as a potential option...but hate/concerned about Toyo 'reliability'

"couldn't stand the growl on a street car. they are 'loud" beyond words. i wouldn't get the "old" r888's again,"

Toyo addressed the noise issue with the new R88R It is much quieter. I contacted Toyo & Tire rack. Initial reviews are very good.

Are you with PCA in CT? Or registered for the concours Sunday?

Im with NJ PCA. Any PCA member can purchase tickets to the CT valley region VIP Hospitality/Concours & race experience event . Its a must to escape the sun/crowds & heat.

Plus you get to drive onto the track Sunday & park with all the Porsches at the "Gathering of the Marques"

Since Falkens are made by Sumitomo wonder how the two compare

Can't wait to hear your reviews. The noise complaints is why I end d up sticking with the NT01 tires
