Default A Paint Meter Away ...

Going to pick up the 2004 White GT3 on the 24th of July. about 10,500 miles, 1% and 2% leak down, no Range 2 over revs, and only one brief Range 1 over rev. I am bringing my trusty paint meter, borrowed from a pal, to be certain the major panels are original. If the front bumper has been resprayed, no biggie. I will be the 5th owner..one of my good pals was owner #2, back in the day.

In my hunt, however brief, about 2 weeks, most of the cars I encountered for sale were black. And as luck would have it, all, with the exception of one in AZ, were at least 2,000 miles away from the CA Central Coast. This car is in SoCal...easy to inspect, and my favorite color

I will add a 996 GT3 to my garage eventually as well and it will have to be white which as you know is so hard to find. Finding my gt2 in white was a chore. Congrats!!

Cleanest 996gt I've ever seen. Owner is obsessive. And a good guy.

Oh man, that is soooo nice!!!!! White is my favorite color in these but I'm immensely enjoying my ugly black one nonetheless! Best car I've ever owned!

This may be of interest . . .

I was very happy to find a MNB/black with 24k miles.

Enjoy!

Default Update 2004 GT3 acquisition

Going down to SoCal this week to inspect the car. Taking a local GT3 expert with me..he has had at least 10 of these beasts in the past, of course he has one now. He has a Fender Splendor Paint Meter. Believe it or not, I have yet to see the car other than the pic supplied earlier. I am headed down to Orange County, CA to get the car, all financial arrangements are mutually acceptable. Leak down was 1% to 2% across the board, DME report was checked and is good.

Spoke with the owner this evening...in addition to being super clean on the outside, the car has been stripped of undercarriage cosmoline, now that's a benefit. Got the options list today, nothing super special, but it does have air.

We will run the paint meter across the major panels looking for any repaint...nothing showed up on CarFax, clean as a whistle. The owner says, to his knowledge, the car has never seen the track...it will now. I am going to drive it like I stole it.

Are we not to ask the going cost.? I'm in the process of "adding to the value of mine"

Default The cost of the 6GT3?

Let's just say that the cost of this car, assuming this is your question, was fair, considering the overall pristine condition of the car, the desirable color for many (White) 10,XXX miles, spotless interior and exterior, a detailed under carriage (No cosmoline) clean CarFax and DME Over-Rev Report and the one off BBI roll bar.

One more day and she will be mine. Will I be able to sleep tonight? Probably not too well.
