Default F/S 991 981 COBB V3

This unit was said to be unmarried but, upon receiving it it wasn't. That being said I called COBB to verify the price to unlock it. They charge 600 to do this. New the item is 1295. They also indicated they unlock it remotely. So no need to send this in. Selling the V3 for 400 shipped. That's a 300 plus the shipping cost of savings.

Could you please explain Cobb's policy? For example, the enthusiast Durmetric is good on 3 VINs, is the Cobb only good for one?

As I explained. You have to pay Cobb to unlock this device to use it on your car. The cost is 600 from Cobb. Once paid you can use it on your car. The item new cost 1300. Therefore with paying Cobb 600 and me 400 for it. You will be saving 300 over new.

Thanks for the explanation. I trade cars often, so this restriction will not work for me. Thanks again, GLWS.

Well after it's been unlocked to the owner I'm not sure if that gives the owner the power to always unlock it. I would call Cobb about that.

You can only "marry it" to one car at a time, but you can also "unmarry it" at anytime. Whoever he bought this one from didn't "unmarry it" before selling it. Once Cobb unlocks it, you can marry and unmarry all you want.
