For sale is my 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback GT350SR Clone. VIN # 5R09C241782

In 2005, Carroll Shelby authorized several 1965 Mustang Fastbacks to be licensed as Shelby continuation models. These cars were named GT 350 SR (S was for the 40 year anniversary of the original 350 in 1965). In essence, this is the way Carroll would have built the car if he had the opportunity to build it with today’s technology.

This GT 350 underwent a full rotisserie restoration and bare-metal refinish performed by Carmichael of Prescott, Arizona. This GT350 recreation is further enhanced with a custom side-exit exhaust passing through each rocker panel to maintain the car's ground clearance. The car rides on a Ron Morrison front-suspension system, Randall’s rack and pinion power steering and the rear suspension is upgraded with Maier Racing springs, sway bar, Panhard rod, traction bars and Bilstein shocks. Baer Racing disc brakes with dual master cylinders, and the brake lines, fuel lines, and fuel tank are all stainless steel. Power is provided by a fully balanced and blueprinted 331 "Windsor" V-8 professionally built by Coast High Performance and complete with aluminum cylinder heads with stainless steel valves, a roller valve train, forged pistons, and a professionally tuned mass flow fuel-injection system. Drivetrain includes a Tremec TKO 5-speed manual transmission and a Currie Enterprises 9-inch limited-slip rear-end with 3.50:1 gears. Wheels are American Racing Torq Thrust with Goodyear Eagle F1 tires; 245/40-17 Front, 285/40-17 Rear

This particular car was built with two floors with sub-frame connectors sandwiched between to keep the car from flexing in the corners and keep an esthetic looking appearance of the undercarriage. An electric cooling fan and all-new wiring harness enhance reliability, while vital functions are monitored by a set of Pro Comp gauges. The custom interior and stereo were handled by Unique Audio which includes a Panasonic deck with JL Audio speakers, 10” subwoofer & Rockford Fosgate amplifiers & crossover. The interior is finished off with a Moto-Lita steering wheel and Carroll Shelby's famous signature on the glove box. The air conditioning blows very cold.

Kindigit Design in Salt Lake City, UT helped finish this car correctly by properly tuning the car and finishing off several electrical, cooling, suspension modifications and other small details to make sure everything works properly. It made a brief appearance in Season 4 Episode 3 of Bitchin’ Rides.

A top-quality build with thousands of hours invested in the process, this outstanding Mustang provides excellent performance, ride, and handling. It starts easily, runs like a champ and turns heads everywhere and is guaranteed to put a smile on your face. Over $165,000 was spent on this full rotisserie restoration which was completed approximately 10 years ago and has been driven just over 4,900 miles since the restoration.

Asking $87,500. Car is located in Salt Lake City, UT. Please contact me for more information. markfank at gmail dot com.

Did it start as a real GT350 or a regular mustang that was converted or a old vin plate was added to a whole new shell? Hard to tell the way you wrote it.

Started as a regular Mustang fastback, you can tell from the VIN #. If it was a real GT350 it would have had the Shelby VIN that start with SFM (Shelby Ford Mustang)

Thanks. I love having it but want to sell it to get back into a 911. There is no substitute!
