Hi all

Time to part with my beloved 997. I love this car but I want a pdk cab so my wife and I can both enjoy the pcar.
i know I’ll regret doing this because this car is just great. Best car I’ve ever owned and it’s like new even though it’s an 06.
As as for service I have all records apart from oil and fluid changes which I do myself. Oil changes every 3k and brake fluid every year. I’m a nut with this. I’ve owned the car for six years and it’s been a weekend and non winter car. Plugs were changed 35k and tranny fluid was changed two weeks ago with good old PTX. I’ve got 4 Blackstone oil reports with solid wear trends and the car burn little oil. Tires are about 2 years old with decent rubber left to go. Annual wax and leather care. The inside is in great shape given the low miles and use. A handful a tiny paint chips that are not noticeable and non pcar folks always think the car is new. I have the usually rubber wear on the fan button but that minor and an easy fix. The fender masking is still clear after I replaced these 2 years ago. Some yellow tint starting but not a big priority yet. 80 bucks to set right.

How do I drive it? Never rev over 3.5k till over 200 temp and I have a pristine over rev report from when I brought it. Only very modest numbers in range two and nothing beyond that. Repeat. Repeat. Revs always kept below 3.5k until operating temps are reached. No track time. It’s been treated right!

Options include chrono, nav, sport steering wheel, heated seats, Bose and Carrera classics.

Its tough for me to sell and I’m only going to sell to a rennlister. Having 2 911s would be viable option for me if I decide to keep it. So hopefully one of you can take this great car so I’m not going nuts babying two cars all the time. PM me if you interested. I can supply more pics and more info for those with serious interest. Search my posts to see what a 997 fan I am. 991s are great too but the 997 is really the real pcar without too much of the modern tech that takes away that raw feel. The steering and engine howl are just classic Porsche. Cheers

Yes it has a sunroof. I'll post interior pics tomorrow. Chicago west burbs is the location.

Thanks. Will post better pics this weekend. Rainy pics do not do this car justice.

Is your car still available?

- Would you be open to having a PPI performed? Would be interested in the condition of consumables. Brakes, clutch, tires, etc...
- Could you tell me more about the shifter/linkages, engine mounts and, tranny inserts? Are these OEM parts? I've done some research but I'm still light on knowledge of these issues.
- What is the condition of the climate control and surrounding buttons?
- Is there any flexibility in the sale price?

Thank you for entertaining my questions.

My 997 is still available.

Open to a PPI at the buyers expense. Car needs nothing in terms of service. Rear tires have good rubber left but will need replacing at some point as these cars go thru rears in 15k.

Shift linkage parts and tranny mounts are from function first. Engine mounts are not OEM but are very good quality with OEM bolts. Climate control wear is typical and can be redone to new at little cost. The short shift is a fairly new Porsche short shift kit from suncoast Porsche.

I’m fairly firm on price because the car is in great shape and has been very well maintained and cared for. Never tracked or abused in any way. I have a pristine DME report as well. The car burns little to no oil between 3k oil changes.

Looks like a very, very nice one. I think your asking price is right on and wouldn't budge much if at all. GLWS!

A word of advice. These photos are painful to look at.
You need to delete this ad and start over with good exterior/interior photos on a day that it isn't pouring rain.
Your car deserves better

Your absolutely right groovezilla. I’ll post new pics; just been very busy fussing with the new 911. Just put 2 coats of wax on and the 997 looks stunning.
