Rennkit is proud to offer the innovative AUTO-BLiP device to blip the throttle on downshift!
Hear it on the track with a GT3 at www.rennkit.com

AUTO-BLiP is an electronic device that automatically blips the throttle when downshifting gears on a manual transmission Porsche. AUTO-BLiP works by monitoring your Porsche 996/986 or 997/987 Series accelerator pedal position sensor, brake pedal, and clutch pedal, and only blips the throttle when both brake and clutch pedals are pressed simultaneously. Six wires to tap into - nearly plug and play. AUTO-BLiP reduces mechanical wear and tear on manual transmissions, improves vehicle stability when downshifting gears, and eliminates the need for the heel-and-toe driving technique.

Features

AUTO-BLiP simply connects to your vehicles throttle pedal position sensor, brake pedal switch, and clutch safety interlock switch using the supplied T-Tap connectors. Almost PLUG & PLAY!

On-the-fly tuning capability using two dials. Set the desirable RPM blip level and a time delay from downshift until throttle blip.

Simple one-time calibration routine easily interfaces to your Porsche's OEM sensors. Once installed, a 6-step calibration routine allows it to learn the throttle, brake, and clutch configuration.

Four LEDs display functional status. AUTO-BLiP provides the driver with a simple yet easy to view status of the brake pedal, clutch pedal, and blip events.

I've seen this but don't know if it actually works in my 2010 Carrera S. Will this work and is it really plug and play?

I was wondering the same thing. On my set of Tractive shocks and DSC controller, Tom at TPC put up a series of instructional photos to illustrate exactly what is required to wire the DSC (and required accelerometer) unit into the harness. This removed much of the anxiety when I was considering cutting into my insanely-expensive OEM wire harness. The same process here would alleviate much of the anxiety we potential installers have. Check out Tom's postings on RL (he also utilized a pencil drawing illustrating the wiring modifications).

Great questions! Yes it is nearly plug and play. 3 T-Taps added to the clutch, brake and throttle wires - no cutting. I'm installing one this weekend (either my turbo or a friend's turbo). Which give me the idea to to video the whole process start to finish. I'm guessing 30 - 60 minutes if we take our time and video the whole thing.

Please do. Also would be interesting to see where you can install it so it is out of sight but you can still access the on/off easily.

video on home page, www.rennkit.com. We are pretty excited about this product. I learned to heel and toe, but dropping that move will not make me sad. Stay tuned for the install video.

have not completed install yet, and can't speak for a 9x7, but from initial inspection should be able to drill a hole in the ashtray (perhaps with a small grommet to make it look clean) and run wiring under console to dash, where it connects to the wiring coming from the pedals (throttle wire, and wires from the microswitches on the clutch and brake pedals). ashtray even has a cover for when not in use, and a little light to illuminate it. perhaps mr rennkit can include in his install video?

Will this also work on the NA 997s? If not, any plans to make a version that does work with the NA cars?

I'd definitely be interested if so.

Dave, I just ordered one of these from your site yesterday... Any chance I can retro-actively join the Group Buy?
