Fair enough. Good luck in your endeavor. The RS is a fantastic car. It has a lot of presence on the road.

Good luck OP, I don't know why others think its so far fetched, I think with the manual 991.2 gt3 market and rs coming down, a deal shouldn't be too difficult. Hope it works out.

In my experience you can get an RS as low as $185k, and they usually trade in the low 2s... so it’s about a wash give or take options...

Seems like a reasonable idea. Don't let all the clowns on here bother you!

Smart man. Manual dot 2 GT3 is currently hot and the dot 1 3RS not so much. The new GT3 is good but now is THE best time to trade up to an RS.

Agree. A shame some people are so quick to make such d**chey comments.

Values aside....I think the most interesting part of this is that after having the manual GT3...It still left you wanting a .1RS

I don't think you are alone thinking this btw. Both are incredible cars but the RS is just so complete.

Default GT3 to Gt3 RS 2016 Trade

I have a 2016, 20 delivery mile RS with a 215k sticker I might trade for Gt3 + 95K. Interested?

Nice spec GT3, you should be able to get rid of that soon. Curious, what did you feel was lacking significantly to want to move to the '16 RS?

I guess with that offer and only 20 miles on your GT3RS you have picked the right name for yourself on Rennlist.

Why is this being discussed at a personal level, fairly certain dealers take cars in on trade and have RS's for sale - not trying to post a "d****y comment" as others have said. But a dealer does exist to do exactly what the OP is describing, plus you would get tax credits depending on the state.

Its CA so no tax credits, and I have not found a dealer to give me a fair price for my car in trade for a market value RS, if I were I'd be happy to use a dealer

Just wait until the 991.2 GT3RS start hitting dealerships later this year, you should have no problem trading your 991.2 GT3 for a 991.1 GT3RS plus little cash
