Default Lumen LED bulbs

bought these for my 2006 997.1 and they threw light fault codes. they were installed for about 2 days and the car was not driven. cant return them cause i dont have the packaging they came in. i bought them from www.carid.com. will not seperate. they are really nice bulbs but i cant deal with the fault codes lol.. Not sure what other models they will fit. heres the list of what i got...

6- 1157 (red) cost new $14.99 each
2- H8 (white) cost new $17.49 each
2- 194/T10 (white) cost new $8.99 each
4- 7507 plazma (yellow) cost $29.95 each

total was $262.70. i will sell for $200 shipped to anywhere in the lower 48. thanks

Are they Canbus? If not that may explain the fault codes though Canbus bulbs do not guarantee no fault code. My understanding is that Canbus bulbs have a resistor biuilt in so the computer thinks they are regular bulbs. Did not change any on my 996 but I did change all the bulbs in my 2015 Chevrolet SS. Had to use the Canbus bulbs or there were many issues.

yes they are canbus and i was told they would not throw codes, however, the porsche dealer told me that on the early model 997s it will thow codes. i just didnt feel like dealing with all that so i just put my original bulbs back in

I hear ya. Had an issue with the trunk light on the SS so I put the original back in and no issues. It's the only original left on the car! GLWS.

You can easily add a resistor to eliminate the codes.

Most all LED suppliers also supply the plug-n-play resistors.

they were supposed to be just plug n play. i even called them to make sure. i just dont feel like dealing with adding resistors or anything. maybe that is something i can put on my list of thing to do next winter lol.. ive done enough this year

Like I said, the resistor kits are idiot proof.

Buy the Suncoast Porsche set. Roughly same price including the rear license plate and no issues in my 2007 for 1.5 years so far.
