Default Porsche CPO's Do NOT Transfer Thru Non-Porsche Dealers

Unfortunately, if you look on pg. 4 of the car's Porsche CPO book, in bold letters it says that the Porsche CPO is immediately cancelled if the car goes to a non-Porsche dealer or broker.

Ergo, as soon as your client transferred the C-GTS to you the P-CPO is cancelled.

Only a private party owner who bought ot had the P-CPO transferred to them, or a Porsche Dealer can transfer any remaining P-CPO time.

I went thru researching this issue last December with PCNA.

So this is a word of warning to any prospective buyers out there.

I suggest that the seller Merit remove this remaining CPO language from the ad, & AFAIK you also have to list in your ad title that your a dealer under the RennList rules.

Tom, I appreciate the in-depth response but you are not quite correct. Yes, if we as a dealer had bought the car, then yes, the CPO would be in jeopardy. However, the car is consigned with us and therefore still privately owned meaning the CPO is still active and transferable to any new owner. I have bought many cars this way through consignment with active CPO's and no issues. Thank you for your note either way.

At least buy a membership before acting like the forum police...and that too without having all the facts, your post would have been been better served as a PM to the seller. Just my 2c

OP beautiful ride, GLWS!
