Love Slate Grey but Gt4 not my thing. Thank you though!
Happy Memorial Day weekend for all Rennlisters but special thanks to current and former military for my freedoms...

And a few more pics

Wow selling a showroom fresh 993! This looks to be "the" example of a C2S for sale in the country, if not the world.

Mr. Sullivan is a first class guy to deal with and you can count on this car being as clean and original as it looks. Don't look elsewhere. This one's as clean as sub 5k mile 993's. Call him. You won't be disappointed.

I appreciate that. I have priced the car less than I paid for it. My family has enjoyed it and I have priced for what I think is fair in this market. Somewhat negotiable but not much. No rush to sell. I'm aware that this car will appeal to a very specific type of buyer.

Jonathon,
In all seriousness, your C2S is gorgeous. So let me ask you, how would you reasonably value my 1997 C2S?
It's a 3 owner car but I've owned it since 2001.
49k miles
It has some blemishes but I think would be considered VERY GOOD condition for a 20 year old car.

Arctic Silver/Blk
Factory Aerokit
6spd
Sport Seats (hardback) with Porsche Crests in headrest
Aluminum Gauges, shifter, brake
Motor sound Kit
Upgraded Bose (which I pulled out and further upgraded but have the original parts)
2x sets, 18" Hollow Turbo Twist Wheels
(I forget all the options but has some other stuff like: rear windshield wiper, lsd, 6cd storage, factory delete designation)

The only paint was done when I removed the front bumperette and replaced with TurboS fog lights and air intake.

Car has some mods but nothing "rennlist frowned upon"
H&R
RS Clutch, RS Flywheel, RS Rear Sway
Alpine Stereo System for Iphone and BT
Gert front protection bar
Short Shift kit

If a pristine, lower mileage, 1998 is $159,999.... What would a good value for me to understand/insure my car?
*please note the rear windshield wiper. A very rare option.

(Pics are a few years old... And with a bad camera.. lol)

Fixed it for ya

Jonathan's car is great, but it won't be quantifiable until the selling price, not the asking price, comes into play

B-Line, its worth what someone will pay for it, you have a beautiful car. Not sure I am the authority.

The premium for the last year of something, the right color code, the right mileage/ownership, etc...well that price elasticity is up to the buyer. My experience is that emotions take over in that realm. Let me give you a non-993 example. There is a 65 911 for sale in light ivory/black/pepita. It has been concours restored by someone that sits on the Porsche AG board for Classics. I have no doubt it is literally the best 65 911 in the country. Better than off the showroom. Although I didn't do it, I was very tempted to buy it at $300k. Big number for me. But even if I was overpaying $10-20k it wasn't going to matter to me for the grin factor. Everyone has different tolerances. Not a matter of being rich or poor, etc., my point is that for the top 10% of any car example, I think it becomes an emotional play.

I am very happy keeping and not selling my car if its not as valuable to someone else. I am also not expecting a quick sale necessarily, its a small buying audience. The previous owner is on this board, and I will be transparent that I am asking a little less for the car than I paid him for it. I enjoyed it for a couple years, put a couple thousand miles on it.

Also, as was pointed out, $159k is an asking price. I will definitely consider reasonable offers over $150k. And something that I may not have posted earlier -- I will write a $5k personal check to the veterans charity of the buyers choice when the car is sold. Just adding a little positive karma into the transaction mix. There are things far more important than these cars.

You had me worried that I had completely lost track of time with the "enjoyed it for a couple of years" comment. I could have sworn you bought it the year after I sold my 17,000 mile car. I checked your old posts and I think you meant "almost a year" since you bought it in 2016! I'm not crazy after all
