Good luck with your future project - it is definitely fun. Bear in mind that this is not DIY and expensive - expect to spend north of 25k on the build.

Thanks for the kind words of advice. Unfortunately for me, its a bit of a necessity as stock 997 GT3 motor has very recently become toast. Essentially I am thinking of building a new (4.0L) engine instead of buying a new 3.6. I'm aware of the costs, been following several build threads intently. Hopefully soon i'll have my own.

Use 105.4mm Mahle pistons and keep the stroke stock. This is the only proven aftermarket 4 liter configuration.
