FOR SALE 1990 Spec Miata.

This car was built by legendary Spec Miata builder Tom Fowler of OPM Racing in Cumming, GA. I purchased it from its 2nd owner in 2015. The car is known as Moxie, and has gained some recognition as being featured on the FastDriverMom Blog series.

Seeing it go is bittersweet, but I'm moving to a different spec class and cannot keep both cars. The previous owner spent over $11000 in improvements by Mitchum Motorsports in Tidewater, VA where it was maintained.

Since I've owned the car, it has been under the meticulous care of premier race shops specializing in SpecMiata: Racing Analytics and Sick Sideways Motorsports.

Both Racing Analytics and Sick Sideways Motorsports are nationally renowned for prepping Global MX5 Cup Series and other Miata race series' cars. Routine and regular checks have been conducted bi-anually by Racing Analytics in Dawsonville, GA. and for the past two winters the car was under the care of SickSideways Motorsports in Sebring, FL.

Global Mx5 Champions John Dean and Nathaniel "Sparky" at SickSideways and Shea Hughes at Racing Analytics both know my car well.

Coached and driven by championship SM winner Todd Lamb and Indy Car pro Dan Clarke both at PCA events at Indianapolis this car can go FAST!

It was fully serviced at a local Miata specialist (Sports and Compacts of Raleigh) with new consumables in March 2018 in preparation for NASA Competition School at VIR.

I have only driven DEs in it but it has been competitive in NASA PTF (formerly SM) class and SCCA SM class in sprints, enduros, and TTs. As far as I know the car is mechanically sound. It has some obvious cosmetic dents/scratches. I dinged both front fenders, so have replaced these with new ones.

If there was any way I could keep it, I would. I love this car. I know I will regret selling it.

I don't have much info documented except that this is the original OEM motor.
The previous owner did not know anything more than that.
