Original owner (car guy) had car up to around 45k miles, second owner (car guy) drove to around 60k miles, third owner (car guy) took it to 78k miles, we (car guys) have had it since. I knew all but the original Doctor owner.

You know Spyder they are good cars. Excellence magazine continues to say they are "one to own" as they deliver so much bang for the buck. This is my third Boxster (1998, 1999 & 2003) which I still have two of today. The 2003 was a gift to my wife & we will keep it as its just too fun to not have.
But nevertheless I have found this car hard to sell. I just don't get it. Since placing this ad I have literally had the car "sold" four times. Well.... I have gotten everything lined up but the funds! One gent (good guy) said he was buying for a family member as a gift. But once we made the deal he found that the family member preferred Uber! (younger generation peeps). Another said "send me a photo of the title & I will pick it up Wednesday" but I knew that wouldent fly (it didn't). Another said "KBB shows $XXXX ~ which I will buy it for today" - of course that was unrealistic. Another said "lets talk today & finish the deal" and then vaporized (that seems to happen a lot / to which it has happened here with this car twice).
It may be the price range, or just the way people are today in that price range - but it is the strangest phenomena I have ever had to deal with. I just don't get it. When my Son & I bought this exact car we told the guy we wanted it - flew to the car - paid in cash - then drove it home. The 2003 Boxster? I spoke to the lady owner one time, sent her a bank wire that day - shipped the car home on a truck.
I guess I must live in a different world as that has yet to happen for me!
What ever happened to those days?
