For sale: Kenwood DNX892 head unit. Kit was purchased from Car Audio Innovations in NorCal. I used it a grand total of 10-15 times, as the Porsche is not driven that often. E-brake usually needs to be t-tapped too, but I put on a ring connector and grounded it, so that my passengers can operate the navigation and radio while the vehicle is in motion, no sense in locking them out of operating the head unit just because the car is in motion. Originally purchased for $1100, I'm selling it for $OLD!!! $700 shipped anywhere in the CONUS. Reason for selling is that I upgraded to a DNX995S for Apple Carplay since I liked it so much on my Jeep, but the Bluetooth worked fine even on my iPhone XS, and the navigation still seemed relevant and up to date anywhere I went. Comes with pre-wired wiring harness, and is plug-and-play except for needing two t-taps (that were red) to tap two wires on the car, (accessory and illumination?) and the trim piece that surrounds the head unit screen, which I reused on the DNX995S, but you can purchase that from CAI, it's a separate item that I also purchased when I bought the DNX892 from CAI originally. Bring a little life back into the aging radio/head unit, especially in your 997.1 era cars like mine.

NOTE: BOSE system people may need something extra: I believe a subwoofer harness adapter that CAI makes.

Do you have a pic of it in the car?

I unfortunately do not. It re-used the optional trim kit that Car Audio Innovations sells separately as my current DNX995S so it would look very similar, but my car is currently getting a full-body clear bra done so I couldn't take a picture of that either for at least a few more days. I generally take very few photographs of things.
