997.1 (non turbo) and 987.1 models with PASM require a 3 axis accelerometer to be installed separately (also sold by TPC). 997.1TT and all 987.2/997.2 PASM cars have a factory 3-axis accelerometer as standard.

I already did the upgrade (which I'm now regretting as I'm probably selling the car soon). Oh well, c'est la vie. Thanks for the heads up!
And you're going to love the DSC box. I used to never be able to drive with PASM activated, even on smoother roads like the Sea to Sky. After I installed the DSC box, I could drive around downtown no problem with PASM turned on. Worth every penny!
