Hello, no never have owned a Targa, just Coupes. That photo is of my 'wish list' as optioned color combo car. The listing on BAT was removed due to unfair comments by idiot posters trying to down the car's value so if your relative gets to take a good look at it please report back.

well, my relatives good friend is a pca member where that car was and he knows the owner and the car very well, and goes to the same service garage where the car was serviced by some famous mechanic, He said who ever would have got that car would have really been happy, and it looks new outside and last time he saw it and rode in it it ran perfect, turns out the owner is in alaska and his neighbor was ssupposed to help him sell it , the car is stored in a climate control storage facility and something came up with the neighbor where he couldn't help, with all the pressure he was getting from people on bat to post more pics and videos he decided to not even sell it. When i got the news about the car i was set on bidding up to somewhere in the mid 40's specially with that rare targa hard top, then i log in and see the message that the car isn't for sale any more. I think now my relatives friend will talk to the owner and possibly i get a chance, but i'm not counting on it
Sounds good, there is always an interesting story behind these cars. Please contact me if for some reason you decide to pass on it I will make an offer. I don't undercut other parties, not my style but it sounds like this car is probably worth a good look.

For some reason I missed this so apologies for the so late reply. I already have a 964 Coupe, but a belated thank you for the offer. I am still looking for that Targa. have PPi'd three so far in the last few months but they all have been misrepresented if not flat out lemons. Hopefully you were able to sort that room space for all the Pcars. Thanks again.
