Porsche 1970 911 T For Sale. $58,000 OBO
Vin 9110120403, 77,600 Miles, Serial” 6105363 2.2 L engine, and correct 901 5 Speed.
Located in Poughkeepsie NY Area

Blue Coupe, with Maroon Leather/ Wood Dash Custom Interior.
Dash Radio/CD with rear interior matching speakers amp and subwoofer.

Rescued from a front yard in Long Island NY in 2002, nut and bolt restoration was completed in 2004 at 62,500 miles. The tub and other parts were bead blasted to bare metal. Rust was cut out, and replaced with new panels as needed. Underneath was treated with POR 15 and painted black. The PPG Blau Metalic paint was professional spayed by a local high quality body shop. All body rubber, weather-stripping, & seals, were new and remain tight, and nicely seated.

Hyland Engineering split the case and rebuilt the engine with new head studs, rod bolts, bearings, pistons, cylinders, and remanufactured cylinder heads to OEM specs. Wires, alternator, starter, fuel pump, and fuel lines were replaced. The Zenith carbs were refurbished and continue to run well. Mr. Hyland has built many early Porsche engines, and was confidant that the engine and tranny were original, and probably hadn’t been apart since new. The engine code aligns with 1970 T production cycle. The starter, alternator, and fuel pump were replaced or upgraded.

New Brakes and hoses were installed. Tie rods and suspension bushings upgraded.
It stops and turns like it should. The car starts with a normal puff of white smoke at start up that quickly clears. There is no smoke on acceleration or deceleration, as the engine warms up, it burbles, and purrs like an early 911 carb car is supposed to. Underneath there is a small leak on the tranny end, and a valve cover seep, but otherwise remains tight and dry.

The car is pictured with 15” Wheels, but a set of 5 14” Fuchs are available.
The original door and dash pieces, as well as (new in bag) OEM side trim chrome and rubber pieces are included with the sale.

The car is stored inside, and has not been driven in rain or snow since restoration. All prior work has been left as is to best present the condition of the restoration. There is some normal light surface rust underneath, but nothing approaching flaking. The paint shines well. There are a couple of small areas where the paint shows some bubbling. Two spots on the hood, a couple of small spots on the trunk lid, and on the right rear side skirt. The seams, doors, roof and glass areas are particularly spot free. Overall the restoration has held up very well.

We are not dealers or flippers. The serial number is worn off the tranny, so we can’t get a COA from Porsche NA. I will try to answer questions and post more pictures as I can. The car is very accurately described, no surprises. It will make someone a very cool 911 driver/time machine for years to come.
