Default 993 crankshaft, Mahle RSR pistons, & Pauter Rods !! FS

Category: Engine - Power Adders
Price (no $ sign please): $1
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits (select ONLY those which apply): 911, 964, 993
Location (Region): NorthEast
Item Condition: Brand New

Just pulled my stock crankshaft out to sell. I'm building my engine using a PMNA 80.4mm crank so I no longer need the stock crankshaft. The motor ran beautifully. Crank has 90,000 miles.

1. Used 993 (76.4mm) crankshaft _ $750 +shipping

Before I acquired the 4 liter crank, my plan was to build the engine with the stock crank and to use these Pauter rods. Turns out Brian Pauter has the proper spec rods for the 4 liter crankshaft so these are now for sale.

With the stroker crank you need to run a custom piston so therefore the RSR pistons I purchased I can no longer use. I am however using the Mahle cylinders that came with the 993 spec RSR pistons because I ordered the new CP(4L) pistons in the same bore(102). They're also really excellent cylinders. I can help you source the cylinders through Mahle.

2. New 993 RSR pistons _ $1,000 +shipping <-- SOLD!

3. New Pauter rods 993 lightweight spec _ $1,600 +shipping

Wow, that will be a seriously nice build. I need to start stockpiling 993 parts. All of it is getting scarce. Every hour on the track, I can sense money escaping the bank.

Apologies for the highjack; any chance to see a pic of your header setup? I searched for a custom setup and ended with Billy Boat to race cats to a Mitch Piper fab’d exit pipe.

P.s. I used to keep mine in Northern Baltimore County.

Yes, very desirable and well priced items. My RSR uses Cariillo rods and Capricorn Pistons.

when Colin Belton ( Ninemeister on here based in Warrington UK ) first built my 3.8 engine he used a Ninemeister bespoke header exhaust that’s still on the car. It’s under the decibels for all noise tests yet gives bags of power.

Haha, I hear you Sam. That has been my thinking as well considering the way the aircooled Porsche market has been.

The headers were custom built by Joe at Tempest Racing here in MD. I gave him the 911gt3rs center muffler and he did the rest. We picked up 20 lbft at 3,700 rpm on the same tune and a peak gain of 10hp. They're really well built and I'm excited to see how the perform with the stroker crank and the trick head/cam combo.

Ahh, those Capricorn cylinders are very very cool. Nice! I have a few threads saved from Colin's going into detail about his custom headers from back in the late 2000's. They look like really nice headers and the fact that I believe they utilize the factory mufflers is great design.
Just FYI folks I can source the proper Mahle cylinders needed to run these pistons for $3,000.

Thanks for the bump guys!
