Many things but overall a great interface, I don't need to tether my phone to it in order to get GPS capability, longer range detection, plug it in and it just works, no extensive settings needed like the V1. If you look most comparisons done independently recently the R3 is rated #1.

I'm always curious to hear about new options, and I guess I'm lucky because in CA, they don't really use X or K. I just turn those off on my old school V1, and I'm good to go. No GPS, no false alarms.

Have ALWAYS been an escort customer but after the recent reviews took delivery of an R3 yesterday. Will let you know but the reviews say it's a new benchmark and escort/valentine have now taken a back seat. We'll see.

So how is? I'm worried about excessive warning tones, as I'm in the city, and our guys here used KA predominately
