Hi Mel
A couple questions:
Is there seat memory settings? If so - memory for 2 positions?
Do the seats have multiple adjustments (4-way, 12-way, etc)?
I had an Alpine White 2012 BMW wagon and the seat memory was located on the lower outer edge of the seat which could be seen if you open the door and took a photo of the side of the seat that faces out. I didn’t see any photos of that portion of the seat, and there is no mention of memory on the build sheet (but maybe it’s included as a standard item).
Sorry to pester you with questions. Your photos are great and tell a lot, but I have a few questions.
Is there adjustable lumbar support?
What sort of mileage do you get with a diesel? (Is it the manufacturer’s estimate on the build sheet or is diesel completely different?). We’ve never owned a diesel.
What is the rear tire width? Wondering if it could go through a car wash. I realize you may cringe at this notion but hubby has a REALLY bad back and so far is hand washing our cars but we really need a car that can go through a car wash.
This is subjective - but what is your thought on the ride? My BMW wagon rode like a buck-board and while we both enjoyed driving it - hubby got to the point where he could not tolerate the ride. The seats were unforgiving and it was too stiff in general. I am looking for something a bit more “cushy” that he would enjoy and we could use for trips.
Thank you. I’m honestly not sure hubby will consider this car but I wanted to get a few details before I spring it on him. I’ve been looking for awhile and trying to find a decent compromise that make both of us happy.
Great looking vehicle and you appear to have taken excellent care of it which comes across in your write up.

Free bump from another fellow X5D owner.
I had an E70 and traded it for the new one a few years ago. I REALLY miss the E70 as everything was just so tight and it just felt so much more analog when I drove it. If an SUV could be a drivers car, the E70 is it.
