OP, have you considered consigning it with the right local dealer or putting it on BAT? I bet for the $3k a dealer will charge you in fees, they can sell it for $45,000 with you walking away ahead. Unless there is something seriously wrong with your car, you will do better. I tried to sell a 997 here once, dealt with a bunch of tire kickers, wasted a bunch of time, and then took it to a high-end dealer that moves a lot of Porsches and has a lot of contacts. Within a week it was sold, for $6500 over what I asked here. They kept a % of fees (6%) and I made out much better.
That, or BAT. 997.1 models have sold for strong money there recently.
