4 WEEK Price drop to $23,000 FIRM for complete package:
This includes a spare complete engine (minus A/C bracket and Clutch Housing), and other misc NEW parts I have for this car.
If you are waiting for it to drop more; just letting you know that will not happen. This will be the first and only price drop as this IS my bottom line price. Bring your trailer....come get it.
I've had offers at $20k...$21K, $22K - turned them down. Not being a about it, but these cars are pretty darn sweet.....and it'll just sit in my garage and be driven on track 4-8 times a year (by me of course) before I let it go for anything less. So.....I do appreciate those offers like I told everyone when we spoke, but 23 is my lowest price.
Have agreed to sale separately - 20K for Car ONLY
Parts can be negotiated separate of car
Thanks....

STILL AVAILABLE.....
"Classic car show...not skert to show off OUR GERMAN engineering"..... (shiny surface under engine is NOT fluid...it is my side windows...took the out and placed them underneath as this was the OLD engine and had some oil leaks - didn't want anything dropped on the turf)
NOW this turned out to be an interesting TRACK Day...we got 4" of snow at Carolina Motorsports Park in Kershaw SC...cleaned off the track, and we had a great day! Warmed up to 55...
Road Atlanta - Turn One - roughing it at the track...

Well sorted; you need NOTHING for an absolutely 100% "smile your face off" TRACK/DE car....just get in, start it.....roll out of the paddock, onto the hot pits...get waved on.....

Ok.... I realize this is usually a "dangerous proposition"...but I'm doing this anyway. Want to propose a question to the "masses".
Would it be best for me to DROP the spare engine from the offer and drop my price as car only? My thought process was simple: (maybe that is my problem - be gentle ) These cars are hard enough to find - PLUS 3.0 968 engines are even harder to find. Sale them all together in one package. Track Car AND spare engine....what a deal. However, perhaps....others don't see it that way; maybe most don't have space for a spare engine, nor do they have the skills to rebuild it?
Thoughts on whether I should RePOST.....as separate items?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts..... (I think)

I always post a race car separate with pricing than a separate listing for spares package with pricing this allows buyers to make up their own minds as to what to buy. You might get surprised that there might be a buyer for the parts not the race car.

I've been following this thread since the car is very nice. I've also been biting my tounge, but since you asked. I've been in sales all my life. The reason your car is not selling is simple. The price is to high. You bump the ad almost everyday but you offer no new information. So, the decision making of the potential buyers is no different. It all depends on how fast you want to sell the car. You can simply wait for the "right" buyer who is willing to pay your price, or you can systematically lower the price until your asking price matches what a buyer is willing to pay. Regarding the spare engine. It's extreemely difficult to apply a value to that. As you mention above, it needs to be rebuilt. Why does it need to be rebuilt? More detail will help somone understand the value of an engine that needs to be rebuilt. A good 968 rebuild will range in cost from 3K for a reseal, to 10-12K for a proper race build. Those are very wide estimates.
Finally, you already said above that you will not negotiate the price. You started at 23K and refused offers of 22K. Buyers know your bottom line. If that really is your bottom line, then you have no choice but to wait for the guy that wants to pay 22K+
ok. That's my 0.02$. Since you asked.

Don and Rich - THANK YOU - very helpful information and you are SPOT on with everything you said. Honestly, just trying to clear my garage of everything at one fell swoop. But understand your points and thanks for that. Engine ran "fine" prior to pulling it out (I know weird right)....but it had tons of leaks (read everywhere)....I ran the hell out of it for 5 years. THE new one - night and day difference.
And yes, I don't have to sale....not in a crunch, so yes, my final price for "package" is 23k....but that is certainly different if I were to split it out separate. I know that asking things in "open forums" is absolutely crazy; but I've talked to a few people via phone...I'm not a smoke and mirrors kind of guy. I'm straight up to the point and honest. Not trying to fool anyone or trick anyone or play games. I'd rather take all the guess work out of all of that. I am very appreciative of your comments/recommendations. I truly am....Thank you.
