This roll bar/harness bar bolts into the seat-belt bolts. I had it in my 996 cab and I understand it also fits into a 997, but you should confirm this. You need to drill 2 holes into the floor panel for the base posts. It is an easy install and it took me about 1-1.5 hours to install. The bar was used for 2 seasons and I bought it new from DAS.
