Model: Golf R
Mileage (numbers only please): 27000
Color: Limestone Grey Metallic
VIN: WVWLF7AU7GW137806
Price (no $ sign please): $1

Body Style: Speedster
Transmission Type: PDK
2 or 4 Wheel Drive?: 4 Wheel Drive

Available for a short time! Going to take a bath and trade at dealer, but wanted to offer to RL members before it's offered from dealership for more.

2016 Volkswagen Golf R
Limestone Grey Metallic/Black leather
27k miles, DSG, DCC, etc. ("Rs" come with basically everything - Sat radio, heated seats, backup camera, etc.)
No paintwork/accidents, fresh 3M clear bra and recent Ceramic Pro ceramic coating on paint.
Southern car, adult enthusiast owned, always garaged, old school maintenance, no modifications/ECU flashes, etc.

Still under new car manufacturer warranty till November 2018, transferrable VW CPO warranty follows this till 2024.

Only German-built Mk VII Golf the US received. Fantastic machine and with DSG it's "mini GT-R" feel is uncanny. Dealer maintained, using only a VW Master Tech - All maintenance is up-to-date, with synthetic engine oil services every 5,000 and premature DSG flush just carried out. Original 19" "Cadiz" wheels are free of curb rash and are fitted with Continental ExtremeContact DWS-06s with over 75% remaining. Needs literally nothing.

SOLD

great looking clean car and nice write-up. i've been considering one of these as a dd.

dealer may mark-up but i don't see them getting much over 30 on cpo's in my area.

don't you get a tax offset if you trade in? that usually made it worth it (or close enough) when i've traded....especially if you're bringing in a 30k car.

All good points. The hope with reaching out to a group of discerning enthusiasts is that perhaps they recognize the value of knowing who you're buying the car from, rather than the mystery that is buying a used car from a dealer. This was someone's baby, rather than just another lease turn-in (rental car). Also, the value of not having to spend the money on items like clear bra and ceramic coating, if these things are important to you. These two items together can typically amount to over $3,000.

Not everyone will care, but some will.

Thanks for the comments. If it weren't for the necessity of extra space, it wouldn't be leaving.

Some of Chris Harris' thoughts on the 7R that I always found fairly spot on:
