SOLD

2003 Porsche 996.2 C2 coupe. 37k miles. Clean Carfax. Title in hand. Purchased in May 2017 as the 3rd owner.

I’ve had 10+ Porsche 911s over the past 20 years. My previous car was a 2015 991.1 C2 coupe that I ordered new, barely drove (4k miles in 2.5 years), and then finally sold last year. My old listing:
https://rennlist.com/forums/vehicle-...o-sunroof.html
I didn't intend on buying a replacement vehicle but my local BMW dealer traded in this 996 with super low miles so I jumped on it. The 2nd owner was an elderly couple that regularly serviced the car at the Porsche dealership. They owned the car for 9.5 years and added a total of 16k miles in that time.

Since purchasing 12 months ago, I've spent over $9k updating the car including:
-LNE IMS upgrade (RMS was replaced in 2015)
-new clutch
-new window regulators on both sides
-Sport Techno wheels (used)
-4 new Michelin PS2s (225 front, 295 rear)
-Gundo hack
-new ignition switch
-new Homelink mirror (Audi/VW OEM mirror)
-new Pioneer in-dash stereo with Bluetooth (have original OEM unit)
-last oil change in May 2018

DME:
As of June 2017, the number of ignitions in range 1 were 2067 and the number of ignitions in range 2 were 66. The current DME should be the same as I do not drive the car hard and do not track.

CARFAX (see attached):
Carfax confirms no accidents. The hood was repainted by prior owner due to rock chips. I used a paint meter to confirm that only the hood was painted. The rest of the car has original paint.

Car still available.

The sale of the Buyer's car fell through and that was his source of funds to purchase this Porsche.

Thanks.

Replied to all PMs.

When I had the Homelink mirror installed, I also installed a power cord for a V1 radar detector. The cord comes out next to the rearview mirror.

Thanks.

You probably cannot PM because your account is new. You can email me at askterry at gmail.
Thanks.

Here's my pitch to prospective buyers:

If you found low mileage 996.2 with a solid history, great DME report, and clean Carfax for $27k, you'd probably jump on it even if the IMS hadn't been replaced. After spending $5k for the LNE IMS, a new clutch, and new Pilot Sport 2 tires, you're at $32k. You're essentially getting the Gundo hack, Sport Techno wheels, window regulators, ignition switch, Homelink mirror, stereo with Bluetooth, and V1 prewire for free.

Many people predict that the values of 996s will go up. I don't know if that'll happen but it doesn't look like values are going down. You can likely drive this 996.2 another 80k miles and still get $19-20k for it. That might be the cheapest cost per mile available in any car.

Was the car removed from eBay? It’s a nice example alright and it does have the expensive maintenance addressed.

Someone used Buy It Now, then immediately requested to cancel his purchase (claims didn't intend to purchase). I relisted the car
