And good luck with that 918 sale ...
Thanks OC, unfortunately my schedule at the office will keep me from going this time.
I will definitely be trying to make it out next year though.

I would love to see the submission that brings this type of a refund!

Trump.

The next Texas Mile will be in late October. The GT40 who had the record of 279.9mph did 282 on Friday to set a new record for the Texas Mile. At least 8 Pcars ran over the weekend I think two did more than 200mph.

Thanks OC, I'll definitely try to plan for October.

I saw that run Saturday live, it was amazing, 282mph! Crazy speeds

I believe he did 293 on a subsequent run. Nutso.

Correct. The track is so much smoother in Victoria that he thinks he can do 300 under the right conditions and with "a few more mods"

What else could he possibly mod? That would be a sight to see!

I was wondering about that myself. Here is the data sheet on that car:

M2K Motorsports Standing Mile World Record 2006 Ford GT 293.6 MPH! The estimate is that it is putting down 2,500hp at about 8,000rpm.
Vehicle: M2K Motorsports Prepped 2006 Ford GT Engine: Accufab Racing Ford GT 5.4L V8, Transmission: Factory Ford GT 6 Speed ECU: MoTeC Data Acquisition: MoTeC Ignition System: MoTeC Wiring: NCS Designs Tuning and Calibration: NCS Designs Suspension and Aerodynamics: Ahlman Engineering.

What are you going to add? Cup holders

Good luck with the 918 sale John. I know the oil patch is slowing recovering so I hope this is sold soon.

Thanks OC, I think the cup holders should do it as long as they are carbon fiber!

Love the car but it's just ever so slightly outside of my budget.

Amazing how that works. No action for 2.5 months, then sold in a couple hours w/ market price adjustment.

Congrats on the sale!
