Default 2005 Porsche 997 911 - IMS/RMS done 52k Miles

Year: 2005
Make: Porsche
Model: 911
Cont. Porsche Models: 911
Mileage (numbers only please): 52500
Color: Black
Price (no $ sign please): $33000
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (Region): NorthEast
Body Style: Coupe
Transmission Type: Manual - 6 speed
2 or 4 Wheel Drive?: 2 Wheel Drive
Engine Type: Fuel Injection
Stereo System: AM-FM CD

Up for sale is my 2005 Porsche 911 C2. 6 speed manual. Black exterior black interior. 52k miles. I hardly ever drive the car unfortunately. Selling to avoid letting it sit any longer. Clean NJ title in hand.

When I purchased the car, I dropped it off at Brother to Brother Porsche in Medford, NJ, a local Porsche specialty shop. Service history prior to this is completed by Porsche dealer stamps in the manual. Anyway, the work last summer included the following:

· Replaced IMS bearing - IMS OilFeed kit
· Rear Main Seal
· 4 new Continental ExtremeContact Tires
· New Clutch kit and pressure plate
· New Water Pump
· New Coolant
· K&N Filter
· New Spark Plugs
· New Coils
· Thermostat
· New serpentine belt
· Synthetic transmission fluid
· New brake pads and rotors
· Flushed and replaced brake fluid
· Hood latch switch

I have also upgraded the PCM unit to a touchscreen Pioneer unit, back up camera and new door speakers. This was done by a local audio shop. I do have the original PCM which is included in the sale. I have 2 keys, all manuals, books and records. Service book indicates proper service schedule stamps for the car (see pictures).

Car also has a Fister exhaust which sounds great.

Car is 10/10 mechanically. Has a few bumps which I've tried to get photos of. Little dimple on the rear engine lid, few scratches on the passenger side rear bumper. Few paint chips that appear to have been touched up before I got the car. No major damage, no accidents.

Any questions, please let me know. Happy to take any further detailed pictures or video or Facetime as needed. This is a perfect drivers car that I hope will make someone very happy.

Nice 997. When the IMS was replaced, this can only be done on the 997 M97 by either disassembling the engine or machining the engine case. Which approach was used? If this was just the replacement of the IMS cover with an oil feed version that’s fine but you should adjust the listing accordingly.

My car is an early 997 with the replaceable IMS. So, process is the same as the 996. The actual bearing was replaced when the clutch was done. Nothing to adjust on the listing it is correct as written.

I have this sickness that a lot of my car buddies have. Something sits and I get restless, sell it and regret it. Sounds like you might have it too. I think I need a project this time around!
