Car is a '99 Boxster 2.5L, 124k miles, 5spd, Zenith blue over black, located south of San Francisco. Four owner car -- I've owned it for a year (bought at 121k), the third owner bought it in 2007 (55k), and the second owner in 2003 (28k). I have full service records back to 2007. Title is clean and clear with no lien. Link to more photos is here: https://www.icloud.com/photostream/#A3GqkRUiGPXhii

I bought it as a fun third car. Then three months ago, I added a fixed-back seat, a 6-pt harness, and a roll bar in order to take it to the track. But after three months of street driving in the fixed-back, plus one track day at Laguna Seca, I found that, while the car is fantastically fun to drive, it's just a bit too cramped for me at 6'2". So I'm selling the car and will take my '97 M3 to the track instead. (Looking for a D3 Audi S8 as the next fun third car, so if you've got one and want to talk trade+cash, I'm all ears. ;-)

Asking price is $6700 OBO in its current form (lightly set up for track use) or $5700 OBO returned to stock.

Maintenance history for the big jobs under the previous owner:
-- The car is a '99 so it has the dual-row IMS bearing, which is much less likely to pop. To my knowledge the bearing has not been replaced.
-- Cam cover reseal at 60k
-- Clutch/flywheel/pressure plate at 81k (see below for more on this one)
-- Coolant expansion tank at 82k
-- Alternator at 91k
-- Front bumper/hood refinish and clear bra at 94k
-- Brake pads/rotors at 109k
-- air-oil separator at 109k
-- water pump at 112k

Maintenance/modification history under me (last 3k):
-- FR wheel bearing
-- LR suspension diagonal arm
-- Front engine mount
-- Pagid yellow pads F+R (plus fresh brake fluid)
-- Sparco Pro 2000 seat (BK-9041/9031 used for seat mount and harness sub-strap mount)
-- Roll bar extension (BK-3010)
-- G-Force 6pt harness
-- Momo Eagle steering wheel with Momo hub and extender ring
-- GT3 console delete
-- Second set of wheels with Toyo R888s mounted
-- Aftermarket relay to give the convertible top switch one-touch functionality
-- Note: I still have the stock seat, steering wheel, center console, and first set of wheels; they're all included in the sale of the car

Going forward the car could use:
-- The clutch only has 40k miles on it, but I think the break-in was not done correctly. So there's a bit of a judder on launching in 1st. You can tame the judder by launching gently, and it hasn't gotten worse since I've had the car, so I haven't considered replacing the clutch.
-- To my knowledge, the shocks/struts are original. The suspension did great at Laguna Seca -- the chassis was lively and responsive -- but if I were keeping the car, I'd replace it.
-- The top is in good shape, and the rear window has no rips, but the plastic is nearly opaque. If I were keeping the car, I'd replace the window. My shop quoted me $500 to cut the old window out and sew in a new one.
-- Airbag light is on, both with the stock steering wheel and (obviously) with the Momo wheel.
