Nicholas, not sure where you got your production figure of 277 from, but it was actually 1,014 produced worldwide.
Oops I was looking at a clubsport variant last night going back to the article. Thank you for setting me straight and contributing to the accuracy of this listing and more importantly the knowledge you've provided on RL in general.
25 year federal rule says..1996 + 25 = 2021 till it can get past the import rule and have a regular regeneration. But you could get a show license registration for it, that limits the amount of miles you can drive it per year to perhaps...500 miles??, not that it will be driven anyway.
