Default CREST

FYI; to whomever;

I ordered and paid right away and waited a few weeks.
Got a refund today, but ABSOLUTELY no communication from Vendor at all.

Here's a few that I completed this weekend for customers:

Side by side comparison. On the left is a custom crest finished in Porsche stock color 37L (Midnight Blue Metallic)over stainless Cerakote. Gloss finish. On the right is a piece refinished with stainless Cerakote highlights and semi-flat / matte painted lowlights. Apologies for the photo quality however it's difficult to get a good picture of a glossy crest without some reflection / washout from the finish.

I won't be making any pieces this week due to family commitments however I will take orders for next week. Delivery time from order to mailing is 7-10 days. Please send me a PM if you are interested in ordering one for your Porsche. Each crest comes complete with a new OEM Porsche emblem gasket and two emblem retainers.

You ordered a guards red "lowlight" crest with black cerakote "highlights". I informed you that I was having difficulty with the paint adhereing properly to the black cerakote. I further informed you that I made two separate crests in an attempt to create a quality piece for you. I was not satisfied with the end result as I would not want to send you something that I would not want to put on my own car. This was FULLY explained to you in an email as well as a comment via paypal when I refunded your payment. You have not expressed your displeasure to me via email or in any other fashion other than to take (in my opinion) a cheap shot at me on this thread.

I don't know if you would have been more pleased had I sent you what I would consider a substandard piece. However before you make spurious claims about "ABSOLUTELY no communication" you may wish to check your email and Paypal account.

Best Regards: Jim

Default Crest

I have never gotten an e-mail from you, this is the first time that I hear of any comment to me. Thanks for the explanation now and be well. Good luck w the other jobs. Never meant to criticize you, but never knew why.

I put up a small album on Photobucket of a few different styles / combinations of crests I've made for customers here:

I'm planning on making additional pieces this weekend if anyone is interested. Please shoot me a PM if you would like one on your Porsche

Here's a pic that a fellow Rennlister Kitwetzler sent me of his 997 Turbo and his refinished crest installed:

Just picked up additional used core crests to use for refinished pieces. Among then was two of the newer 996 style crests. Please PM me if you're interested in one or having one made from the 901 style pieces.

Regards: Jim

Default Hood Crests...

Hi Jim...Nice work...Is the filled 993-version available for purchase?...or did it turn out to be to cumbersome to fabricate?...I have a black 993 and think the "filled" would look nice and probably be easier to keep clean?...otherwise I'll order the same as you have in your avatar which sems to be the same as mr Kitwetzler's, No? (matt black and silver)...Please let me know how to proceed at
larsw@westmarksales.com (can't get pm's on my phone and seems to be unable to post any pictures as well)

Thank you very much.../ Lars...

While I was completing some customer orders this past weekend I decided to make a few variations on a theme:

Semi-Flat black over "stainless" cerakote.......just showing more silver where the red would be on a factory crest

And another......semi flat black over stainless cerakote with anthracite mettalic accents:

Finished with two additional coats of satin clear to provide a consistent finish. Constructive criticism welcomed. Let me know what you think!
