Here is the long story, short.

I purchased the following set of wheels from a man in the Netherlands who solely sells Porsche items.

I was sent images of the wheels and told they were in top condition and all reconditioned. The images were not those of my wheels. Top condition, that is clearly not the case.

I was looking for something period correct for the 996 and focused on RH AG Cup wheels for some time and was unable to find anything in the US, thus my purchase.

After converting the money, I paid, maybe a little too much for reconditioning wheels that are not fully reconditioned.

If I send them back, I would lose the shipping cost to get them here and back.

In short, this is one of those horror stories where the complete details were not disclosed.


Size: 18x8.5-offset 56 // 18x10-offset 54

Condition: When the wheels were reconditioned, the previous owner did not cover up the rivets on the rear wheels and they are painted the same color as the wheels. The Center caps' silver color is slightly off compared to the wheels. Outer lips were reconditioned and are perfect, inner lips have nicks, see images. Wheels are presentable, not Concours material.

I don't recall these on the early 996. Weren't they 993 era?

Xcellr8, They have minor imperfections as noted in the pictures. To my knowledge and observations, there is nothing major. They are only up for sale because I purchased a set CCWs from another member. I've seen these on 993, 996 and 986 cars and a quick Google search can yield pictures.
