what's the benefit over regular 997 non-cup car caliper?

Not to sure...I have a 997 GT3 (non cup) in my shop rght now, and the only difference I can see is that the cup calipers (fronts in particular) have a lot more "meat" on them than the non cup. Bigger piston sizes? stiffer?
someone else want to chime in?

Kenny do you have the part #'s ?. Trying to figure out if they would fit on a 997 Street GT3 with steel brakes without the need of changing anything else (no brackets, no different rotors). In other words, straight replacement. I can't imagine that Porsche would have different calipers for the Cup and street GT3 except maybe for dust boots or something

Erik, they should be the same calipers as you have.

Will they fit my 996 with 350mm rotors?

Scarab, the caliper bolt spacing won't work with 996 uprights.
