For sale is my Fabspeed intake used for the last year on my 996 Carrera. The unit has been used for approximately 9 months and I recently bought new filters to replace the K&N units. The unit comes with two sets of cone filters, (2) Spectre filters & (2) K&N filters that came with the unit.
The intake is fully functional with a few cosmetic imperfections that come from normal use. There is a contact patch between the intake tube and the plastic fan cover that affects the protective layer of the carbon fiber. I'll attach a better set of pictures later, though please note the included photo was taken within the last 500 miles of use.
I'll do my best to include all original hardware with this unit, but be advised that you may need to pick up a washer & bolt/nut to affix the upper portion of the heat shield to the mounting bracket. The SAI pump relocation bracket is not included in this sale, and must be sourced separately by the purchaser.
The K&N filters have approximately 8,000 miles on them and are still functional, though in fair 7/10 condition (some dirt and a few areas where the filter screen is frayed). Nothing dangerous or non-functional about the K&Ns, I just elected to buy new Spectre filters to provide better air flow & sound.
The car wails at wide open throttle in this setup, especially at higher RPMs in 3rd & 4th gears.
